Brilliant staff have always given back during the holidays by collecting toys and donating them to a local charity. This year, we went a step further and sponsored a local family who was in need through our friends at Interfaith Neighbors.
Interfaith Neighbors is a 501(C)3 tax-exempt organization whose mission is to “provide rental subsidy to underprivileged persons; to provide meals either in a congregate setting or delivered to the homes of people who are either elderly poor (senior citizen), infirm or seriously ill persons or those who are classified as impoverished; to encourage support and undertake construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing units and other facilities for underprivileged and homeless persons with low incomes and generally to support the needs of underprivileged persons.”
Jeff Krohn of Brilliant’s NJ office organized the effort by collecting cash donations from the staff and our owner Phil Brilliant matched the staff’s donations dollar-for-dollar! Brilliant raised $500 which is enough money to not only sponsor our family but also to buy extra toys to be placed in Interfaith’s “Toy Store” for distribution to other underpriviledged families who are unable to purchase gifts for their children during the holiday season.
