Staff Spotlight – Kimberly Ochal

Title: Environmental Scientist I

Brilliant Office: Bensalem

Years with Brilliant: 3 months

Main Job Responsibilities: I work mostly on New Jersey site investigation and remediation.  I conduct groundwater and soil sampling, activities related to site and remedial investigations, and writing all appropriate reports.

Where did you grow up?  I was born in Northeast Philly, but grew up in Ardsley, PA.

What was your favorite subject in Elementary school? My favorite subject was either Arts and Crafts or Reading.  I feel like elementary school subjects weren’t actually subjects.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? My bucket list place to visit is definitely the Grand Canyon.  I would love to hike down into the valley, camp out a couple nights, and explore all nooks and crannies the Canyon has to offer.

What is your favorite activity? In my down time, I enjoy reading, watching tv (particularly the Discovery Channel and Food Network) and working out (I participate in multiple foot races, such as 5Ks and Rugged Maniac, and completed my first triathlon last September).

What is your favorite food? If you ask the guys at the office, they would say any food is my favorite since I’m always eating! However, my top 3 favorite foods are pizza, Mexican, and mac n cheese.
