Sara B. Hodl


Sara has over 20 year's geologic and hydrogeologic experience, with an array of areas of environmental expertise. With Brilliant, Sara is responsible for the completion of Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations and Remedial Action for residential, commercial and industrial sites in New Jersey in accordance with the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (N.J.A.C. 7:26E). Sara is an expert in environmental due diligence for the investigation of properties in the midst of real estate transaction; whether Phase I or Preliminary Assessment. Sara's experience includes quality assurance and quality control of field data and data acquisition techniques, development and implementation of site-specific sampling methodologies for contaminants in the air, soil and water; soil boring, well installation supervision, tank closure oversight and report preparation.

Sara started her career in Texas, working for ARCO as a member of the Middle East/Black Sea Exploration Group and was responsible for 2D and 3D seismic interpretations in Qatar, Turkish Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and North Sea; as well as Georgia and Lebanon. Jackson, NJ is a long way from the Middle East, but Sara has also been a superstar in the classroom, having served as an Earth Science Teacher in the Lakewood Public School System for two (2) years teaching high school freshman.

Sara lives in Belmar, along with her 2 four-legged friends and one 2-legged friend Chris. Sara likes to draw, paint, sew and decorate in her free time. She enjoys spending time with her furry (or non-furry) four-legged children and listening to music.
