Geologist I
Joseph J. Serio joins Brilliant Environmental Services as a Geologist I, bringing more
than 15 years of experience in geology, environmental compliance, natural resource
conservation, and site remediation. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Stockton
University with a B.S. in Geology, Joe has extensive experience working with New
Jersey regulatory requirements and applying geological science to environmental and
development projects.
Joe’s technical background includes subsurface investigations, soil boring classification
and lithologic logging, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor investigations, remediation
oversight, geophysical surveying, GIS mapping, and environmental data analysis. His
experience also includes soil erosion and sediment control, stormwater compliance,
environmental inspections, and preparation of technical reports and remedial action
documentation.
As a Geologist I at Brilliant, Joe will apply his diverse field and regulatory experience to
support environmental site investigations, remedial investigations, groundwater and soil
sampling programs, and remediation projects throughout New Jersey. His combination
of geology, field investigation, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship
will provide additional technical depth to Brilliant’s project teams and help move client
projects efficiently toward regulatory compliance and closure.
