In 2026, the company proudly celebrated this milestone by marking 20 years in business with an evening surrounded by the people who have been part of that journey.
Hosted at JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River, the celebration brought together clients, colleagues, vendors, friends, family, and many of the professionals who have worked alongside founder Philip I. Brilliant, CHMM, LSRP, during his remarkable 38-year career in environmental consulting and contracting.
A Celebration of Relationships
Every successful project begins with a relationship built on trust, communication, and shared goals. Over the past 20 years, those relationships have become the foundation of Brilliant Environmental Services.
The anniversary celebration was an opportunity to reconnect with longtime clients, recognize valued business partners, thank dedicated staff and employees, and celebrate the friendships developed through decades of working together on projects across New Jersey.
From environmental investigations and site remediation to underground storage tank projects, brownfield redevelopment, environmental due diligence, and regulatory compliance, each project has contributed to the company’s growth and reputation.
Why JBJ Soul Kitchen?
The venue itself reflected something important to Phil Brilliant.
Rather than choosing a traditional banquet facility, the celebration was held at JBJ Soul Kitchen, the nonprofit community restaurant in Toms River founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to a nutritious meal served with dignity.
Supporting organizations that strengthen local communities has always been important to Phil and the Brilliant Environmental Services team. Hosting the anniversary celebration at JBJ Soul Kitchen reinforced the company’s belief that successful businesses should also invest in the people and communities around them.

Since opening its doors in 2006, Brilliant Environmental Services has grown into one of New Jersey’s respected environmental consulting and contracting firms.
